The Library subscribes to VISUAL THESAURUS, a database that gives you all kinds of information about words and language. You can explore words through this very inviting interface that locates your word at the center of a diagram. One of it's features is a set of boxes to the right which break down the word into its various usages as a noun, adjective, verb, or adverb. You can even turn these on or off if you want to concentrate on only one part of speech.

You'll need to scroll a little to find the Visual Thesaurus link. Once you reach the VT homepage, click on HOW IT WORKS in the menu at the top of the page.
