What's Happening?

Well, I 'm glad you asked. And the answer is lot's of things.

Summer is the
perfect time to read for fun ...

It's Summertime, and that means Summer Reading Programs and Events. Information for Summer Programming can be reached by going to our homepage at www.southriverlibrary.org
and clicking on the the picture you see above. You supply the enthusiasm and we'll supply the fun.

AND remember that Expansion that we've been talking about? Well, we're finally going to start building. Stay tuned for more information on that front.

#####################################

AND we have recently subscribed to a downloadable music service called FREEGAL. You will be able to log in with your library card, and download 3 tunes a week. This music will be DRM free and represents lots of popular artists.

As soon as I get the information on how to connect, I will load that link on our webpage. So make sure you have your library card at the ready.

Don't have a library card (yet)? You can register for one online by going to our homepage and clicking on the SRPL Catalog link. Look for these words in the upper right hand corner -- New to the library?

We hope you'll make the library a frequent stop in your Summertime travels.

New Resources

The Library has access to some new resources that we wanted to point you to. Just go to our Homepage at:

www.southriverlibrary.org

and navigate to the items I have circled in red.

The GET HELP site offers links to information about jobs and finance, housing and health resources, as well as information targeted specifically to parents, and seniors.

In the CAREER LIBRARY you will find a wealth of information to help you decide on a career as well as links to current jobs. You can click on the yellow Exploration Center tab, then click the link for State Data, and then the link for New Jersey Employment Opportunities to see what's available. Some sites will require registration.

The CAREER LIBRARY is brought to you free of charge thanks to EBSCO thru December 2009.
The GET HELP site is brought to you by the New Jersey State Library.
